Two formats: 50 ml atomizer spray · 10 ml roll-on perfume oil
OLFx Red Crystal is a Baccarat Rouge 540 dupe — our Extrait de Parfum built around saffron, bitter almond, jasmine, cedar and an ambergris-amber base. Available as a 50 ml spray or a 10 ml perfume oil.
This is the scent people stop you about in an elevator: sweet and mineral at the same time, like sugar melted over hot stone, with a glow that stays in a room after you leave it. Pick your format in the size selector above and put the 50 ml spray in your cart.

Red Crystal is our own composition, blended by OLFx perfumers at Extrait de Parfum strength — the richest concentration we make.
That strength is the point: what you put on in the morning is still doing its job in the afternoon meeting. Maison Francis Kurkdjian's Extrait retails around $495 for its 2.4 fl. oz. bottle at the house's own US store, and it earned that standing honestly — it is the accord the last decade of perfumery was measured against. We sell our reading of it direct, in one selector on this page. The rest of our Extrait sprays are built the same way.
Red Crystal smells like sugar melted over hot stone — saffron and bitter almond first, jasmine through the middle, cedar and warm amber underneath.
The first second is cool and almost mineral. Saffron lands the way a pinch of dry spice lands on the back of the tongue: a little metallic, a little bitter, no sweetness yet. It reads more like a struck match than like food, and it is the reason nobody can name the note.
Then bitter almond turns the corner into dessert. Think marzipan warmed in a pan, sugar taken to the edge of caramel and pulled off a second before it burns, toasted edge left in. This is the part that registers as sweet without ever feeling like candy.
Jasmine keeps the whole thing from turning into a bakery. It sits in the middle as a cool white-flower breath — the way air feels coming off a cold window pane — and lifts the sugar up and out instead of letting it sit heavy on the chest.
Underneath, cedar and an ambergris-amber base do the holding. Dry wood, warm resin, a soft salt-on-skin warmth that reads less like perfume and more like a person who smells very good. That base is what carries across a room and what people remember an hour later.
Red Crystal is an Extrait de Parfum in two formats, both chosen in the size selector above.
Baccarat Rouge 540 is loved for one very specific trick: it smells sweet and precious at once, and nobody can name the note.
One wearer describes it as saffron laid over burnt sugar — expensive-smelling, and leaving an impression every single time it is worn. Another calls it the way confidence smells when someone walks past you and you turn around. A third finds it modern and strangely luminous, closer to light than to fruit or flowers. Across the top public reviews, the words that come up most are sweet, skin, saffron and almond.
That combination — a cold, bright opening resolving into warm sugar and wood — is the character Red Crystal was built around.
Red Crystal comes in two formats, and you choose by how you like to wear fragrance rather than by how much bottle you want.
| Format | Size | Best for |
|---|---|---|
| Extrait de Parfum spray | 50 ml | Everyday wear, reach across a room, the main way to own Red Crystal |
| Perfume oil | 10 ml | Close-to-skin wear, alcohol-free application, a bag or a desk drawer |
The spray is the flagship: alcohol-based, worn on skin and clothing, built to travel through a day. The oil is its own thing — quieter, warmer, more intimate — and both are available in the size selector above.
Red Crystal is not the same fragrance as Baccarat Rouge 540, and we would never say it is. Maison Francis Kurkdjian made the original and owns it; ours is an independent composition built around the same accord by our own perfumers and sold under our own name.

One thing is worth untangling: the house sells an eau de parfum and an Extrait de Parfum under almost the same name, and Red Crystal is built toward the Extrait reading, the denser one. More work from that house sits on our Maison Francis Kurkdjian shelf, including Amber Night, our Grand Soir reading.
Red Crystal is worn by people who want to smell expensive without explaining themselves. The accord has no gender, and in practice it gets shared out of one bottle by two people in the same house.
It suits you if you like sweetness with structure: gourmand enough to be comforting, dry and woody enough to wear to work. It makes a good first serious niche-style fragrance, and it fills the amber-saffron slot properly for collectors.
Red Crystal is built on the four pillars that define this accord: saffron in the opening, almond-sugar in the middle, amber and cedar underneath, at Extrait de Parfum strength. Skin chemistry decides the rest, and everyone's is different.
Fragrances in this family all chase the same trick — a cold, bright, slightly metallic opening that melts into warm sugar and wood. Red Crystal is our version of that character, available as a 50 ml Extrait spray or a 10 ml perfume oil.
We do not rank ourselves against other brands or claim to reproduce anyone's formula. What we stand behind is that Red Crystal is the closest match in our own range to the character people mean by that accord, made at our richest concentration.
Start by checking the spelling of what you actually want, since the name is shared with a crystal house and a card game. If you mean the saffron-almond-amber fragrance, Red Crystal is our reading of it, in a 50 ml spray or a 10 ml oil.
Red Crystal asks two quick decisions of you: the format, and the room. The 50 ml Extrait spray is for reach and everyday use, the 10 ml perfume oil for scent worn close to the skin — and this one carries, so a light hand goes further than you expect.
